20. The Nocca quarter

A group of houses in the Nocca suburb situated in the south of Bellinzona near the church of San Rocco and the once famous Albergo dell’Aquila. At one time the hostelries were concentrated around the town gateways, especially in the south of the town. They disappeared with the advent of the railway since they were too far away from the station.
